Updates

Long time since I’ve posted anything. I do look at the site often, to see if anything is screwed up, but I just don’t write new posts a whole lot. Thought I’d give some updates, since some things are kind of screwed up, at the moment. Enough intro-ish talk.

So, I return from my 3 month break and notice that my Twitter sigs aren’t working. Since Twitter is now requiring authentication to use their API, I’ll have to tweak the code a bit. I have no idea when I will get around to it. I will create a new post when I get it done.

I’ve also gotten rid of the second blog I was using as a personal blog. I use Twitter so much that I don’t need a personal blog. For now, the navigation just says “Link.” I do have plans for that spot. Just thinking how I want to approach my next coding project. Anyway, once I get a solid idea on what I will do, I’ll be adding it to the “Projects” page. Also, if anyone wants to see something added to the site, I’m listening.

When I begin implementing these ideas, I will leave the site live. So, you may see some strange stuff or things may stop working. I do still encourage anyone who experiences problems to let me know about them. There’s always a chance it could be an issue of which I’m not aware, like the Twitter sigs, for example. I am doing some minor work on the site now, but it’s nothing that will cause outages.

Twitter Sigs

It’s still in testing stages but I decided to release the twitter sig I’ve been working on. You can use it by using this link: http://www.mlcfx.com/tweets/*screen name here*.png

If you happen to run into any problems, please let me know. As I stated, this is still in its testing phases and although I’ve tested some stuff, there still may be other problems with the signature that I need to know about.

Guess I should explain one thing that may not be obvious. The number on the far-left of the bottom is how many people you’re following. The number to the right of that is how many people are following you. Suggestions are always welcomed and please report problems.

You don’t actually need to answer that question. I already know the answer is “yes.” Everyone loves podcasts! Anyway, Lawl Pwned and StingX2 have combined forces to form the Restless Gamers and release a weekly podcast, for our enjoyment. They’re two weeks into the adventure and are doing a very good job. They touch on a bit of everything that’s happening in the gaming world and have special guests, sometimes. They have a topic on 360voice that contains information and links to download the podcasts. They’re also looking for a little help. Straight from Lawl Pwned:
Me and Sting are looking for some more Restless Gamer Crew if anyone is interested in filling in the website creator/maintainer spot. We have no pay but, we’ll make sure to give much thanks and appreciation toward all the hard work put in the creation of the site in our future podcasts. We’ll probably even put you on plenty of RG podcasts since your one in the crew! That is…if anyone is interested of course.

Combining things is good

Decided that instead of using two domains, one for my personal blog and one for gamecards and other stuff, it would be best to have everything on one domain. Makes things easier for me, and visitors. So clicking the “Blog” link will get you to my personal blog. Going to the homepage (by clicking “Home”) gets you to the blog for information about mlcfx projects, gamercards and so on. If I’m not being clear, which happens quite often, feel free to email mlc2074@mlcfx.com or catch me on twitter (link to my Twitter page is in the footer) for help. Also working on a downloads section that will contain anything I want to release and also be a place for people to get more exposure for their creations. Links to the section, which is very small at the moment, will be up later tonight. That is all, folks.

New Gamercard Design

Newest design is done. Just whipped this up, today. Got bored at work. Decided to make a design that wasn’t tall. Feedback would be cool. I have a few little changes to make to it. Just head to the gamercards page and select “Style 3″ if you want to use it.

If you happen to hate all three designs, feel free to suggest what I should do. My imagination is very limited when it comes to designs.

Small Update and Information

I’m sure it’s obvious, but I have put my twitter project on hold. It’s not really urgent and I’m more focused on the gamercards, anyway. If you have any problem with the gamercards, I will be more than happy to help you. Though no one has come to me with any support needs yet, which is a good thing. Also, I’m always willing to accept suggestions for new gamercard designs. Of course, you will get credit for the design. A link to your website, myspace, facebook, or whatever will be shown right above the gamercard when it’s generated. Also, if you want a gamercard just for you, I can see about getting it done. Some people like to be different or just can’t stand having something that someone else has, so I aim to please.

New Gamercard Design in the Works

That is an image of the new gamercard in the works. It’s almost done. I just need to finish up a few things with it and then I’ll make it available. I expect to have to it released by Friday and will update this post when it is released. Just like to keep everyone informed, in case you care.

Another Update: The form is now updated with an option to choose the second design. Let me know if you have any problems.

Domus Complete

Project Domus is finally complete. Gamercards (actually gamercard, since there’s only one design, as of now. ) are finally ready for use. If anyone experiences any problems with it, please let me know.

Getting things started

I thought a post helping visitors get familiar with the site would be helpful. This site will mainly be home to any coding (PHP), web development, and graphic projects I take on. I enjoy those three things very much and decided a site dedicated to it would be beneficial. It will most likely encourage me to try new things and expand my knowledge. Eventually, I will have Xbox 360 gamercards available for use and many other projects, I’m sure. There is a page for any stuff I create in GIMP, as well.

The links you see at the top of the page are the most important links, which is why they’re there (duh!). Links to every page of the site are visible in the footer. So, if you want to contact me, read the FAQ or privacy policy, or read an overview of the site, check the footer for those links.

There is some stuff on the site that relates to me (such as my favorite places on the web) but I will be keeping talk about me limited to my personal blog. The little information on this site regarding myself is just a snippet for people who may want to know a little about me but don’t want to go to my personal blog.
